Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractic

Prenatal Chiropractic

Research shows consistent prenatal chiropractic care leads to easier, safer, and more comfortable labors and births. Our focus is not just to relieve pain but to improve the overall function of the mother’s body. Some typical pains felt during pregnancy such as low back, pubic, or rib pain will be improved when function is restored.

Chiropractic adjustments restore balance to the mother’s ever-changing body. When balance is achieved in the bones, muscles, and ligaments of the mother’s pelvis the baby has the most optimal space to move and grow. Towards the end of pregnancy, this space also helps the baby move into the proper head down position resulting in shorter labor times and decreased pain intensity during labor.

Pediatric Chiropractic

From the birth process throughout childhood, children are subjected to stressors that may affect their spinal alignment and development. When there is interference or a disruption in the nervous system of a growing child, it impedes or delays their development and may have permanent and far-reaching effects. Children under chiropractic care can avoid the chronic musculoskeletal problems that many adults face.

Chiropractic adjustments for children are safe, gentle, and significantly different than adjustments used for adults. The pressure used to adjust a newborn is no more than the pressure you can comfortably tolerate when pressing on your closed eyelid.

Childhood is a very active time and often leads to countless trips and falls while learning to crawl, walk, and run. Although there may not be any obvious symptoms or external injuries these can lead to spinal misalignments or injuries. Routine adjustments will help identify any injuries and ensure your child is developing at their maximum capacity.
